Touring Passes

What passes covers which area?

The English Heritage Overseas Visitor Pass and The National Trust Touring Pass offer free admission to their sights in England, the National Trust also has attractions in Wales.

The Historic Scotland Explorer Pass and the National Trust of Scotland Discovery Ticket allow free entry to their sights in Scotland.

The Great British Heritage Pass allows free entry to most sights of the National Trust, English Heritage, the National Trust of Scotland and Historic Scotland. Additionally there are several sights which are not included in any other touring pass.

Why do you not offer a combination of the London Pass with the Transport TravelCard?
Such a combination is only offered by the Leisure Pass Group Ltd. in London. We have separated this in our online shop to give you more flexibility. Separating the tickets is not more expensive, but gives you the flexibility to purchase, say, a London Pass for 2 days and a transport ticket for 7 days. The transport option offered by the Leisure Pass Group Ltd. means purchasing a London Travelcard for all 6 zones. By separating this option, you have the flexibility of purchasing a ticket for zones 1-2 instead.

What is included in the London Pass?

Tickets

Is entry to Madame Tussauds included in the London Pass?
No.

Do I have to wait in the queue at the Tower and Madame Tussauds?
With our tickets you have fast track entry and do not need to stand in the queue.

Why do I have to give a date for some tickets and not for others?
We need to have the date and time for the London Eye only. Madame Tussauds has off-peak and peak prices so we need to know your date of travel for these. Peak prices are during the summer months only. You do not have to determine your date of visit unless you are a group; groups must be pre-booked with Madame Tussauds before their visit.



London Travelcard

For which zones should I purchase the London Travelcard?
You can find a zone map on the London Travelcard product information page under the Which zone? link.You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this file.

Is Stansted Airport included in zones 1-6 or do I need to purchase another ticket?
Stansted Airport lies 42 miles north of London and is not situated within zones 1-6. You can either purchase a train ticket (Stansted Express) or bus ticket (National Express Stansted) into London.

How long is the journey by underground from Heathrow Airport? Can I also purchase these tickets from you?
The journey by underground takes approximately 1 hour. You can purchase single tickets from us – the Heathrow Transfer Ticket or use a Travel Card Zone 1-6 for your airport transfer.

Do you sell original Travelcards or do you issue a voucher which needs to be exchanged in London?
You will receive original Travelcards from us and don’t need to worry about exchanging vouchers when you arrive in London.



Train Tickets and Passes

Where can I find train timetables?
You can find train timetables at www.nationalrail.co.uk

What is the advantage of purchasing your train tickets and passes from you?
By purchasing a point-to-point ticket, you have the following advantages:

  • You don’t have fix your time of travel to a date and time.
  • You can interrupt your journey as many times as you wish.
  • The tickets are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and you have 2 months to complete the return journey.
  • You save time by not having to queue up for the tickets in Britain.
All point-to-point prices are comparable to Saver Return ticket prices in Britain. You cannot purchase any of the BritRail passes in Britain. In many cases BritRail Passes are also a cheaper option versus some point-to-point tickets.



Ordering Online

How can I pay?
Payments can be made by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Direct debit payments will be accepted soon.

What is a security code?
When paying online, you will need to provide us with the security code of your credit card. You will find this on the reserve side, next to your signature. We will need the last 3 digits of your code.

How to change Browser Privacy settings to enable cookies?
For Internet Explorer, follow below steps:

  • Go to Tools menu, click 'Internet Options...'. This opens a new model window
  • Select 'Privacy' tab.
  • In Setting section, move the privacy setting slider to 'Medium'.
  • Click 'Apply' and then 'OK' buttons respectively. This closes the model window.

For Mozilla FireFox, follow below steps:

  • Go to Tools menu, click 'Options...'. This opens a new model window
  • Click 'Privacy' option. Select 'Cookies tab.
  • Check 'Allow sites to select Cookies' checkbox.
  • Click 'OK' button. This closes the model window.
Now the browser is enabled to order online with VisitBritain.



Payments

What type of cards are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard and American Express are the credit cards currently supported.

What is my security code?
The CVS security code is not your PIN number, but a code designed to make sure you are holding the card. You will find this number displayed on the back of your credit card - it is normally the last 3 digits on the signature strip.

What number format for credit card is accepted?
Valid card numbers up to 16 characters need to be entered without spaces.

How long will the delivery take?
If all products are available, they will be dispatched within 2-4 days of your order. You can track your order online at any time with your login. Tickets usually will arrive faster than books, taking 5-7 working days. Delivery of books could take up to 15 working days.

How much are the delivery and handling costs?
The handling cost is 2 dollars and delivery costs are 8 dollars per order.

Can I order even if I am leaving in the next 2 days?
Express delivery is currently not available, however, it could be offered at some point in the future. Current deliveries will take a minimum of 5 working days.

What is premium shipping?
Premium shipping takes 2-3 working days and it is applied across all products in your basket. Please note this price is added to your standard shipping rate.

Entering the Zip Code
The maximum field length is 9 characters so please leave out any special characters when entering the zip code. (i.e. 474018019 instead of 47401-8019).

What format should my password be?
All passwords need to be greater than 5 characters - this facilitates a more secure transaction.

What is an address reference?
This is a customer created reference name for your shipping address, for example, "myHomeAddress". If you come and purchase again you will not need to enter your address details again, you simply select it from the drop down list.

What format should my phone or fax number be?
Valid telephone and fax numbers, including area codes, up to 12 numbers in total, are accepted. Please do not enter in any spaces or hyphens between the area code and number.

What is a Wish List?
A Wish List is a selection of products that you may be interested in, but are not yet ready to purchase. By selecting the 'Add to Wish List' button for a product, your item will be stored so that you can view and choose to buy it when you next visit the shop. You can also email your Wish List to your friends and family.
