Visitor Oyster Card
Overview
You can use the Visitor Oyster card on ALL London underground trains, buses, and trams, also on many regular train services within London. You can use your card as many times as you like, and you’ll never pay more than the cost of a travel card per day.
How does the Visitor Oyster Card work?
Our Oyster Cards come pre-loaded with £10, £20, £30, £40 or £50 worth of travel. As you travel around London credit will be deducted every time you travel on public transport. With the Visitor Oyster Card, once you reach the price of a day travel card, no more credit will be deducted from your card for the rest of the day no matter how many journeys you make.
Why should I have one?
Save time -
Skip the lines and simply tap your Visitor Oyster card on special readers located in Tube and train stations and on buses.
Save money
- Almost always cheaper than paying the cash fare, the Visitor Oyster card will also automatically calculate the cheapest fare for a day's worth of trips, so you don't have to. Visitor Oyster single fares are always a better option than paying by cash - for example a single tube journey in central London will cost £4 with cash but only £1.50 with the Visitor Oyster Card.
How much Oyster Card value do you need? - Please note that £7.20 is the most you will pay per day for as many trips as you'd like in central London on trams, buses, tubes and some trains with Oyster's built-in price capping. The Visitor Oyster Card incurs a £2 activation fee which is included in the purchase price.
Reusable - The money you put on your Visitor Oyster Card never expires so you can keep it until your next journey or pass it on to friends and family.
Use it again and again
- Your Visitor Oyster card can be topped up at over 3,000 outlets all over London, so you’'ll never have to slow down.
