St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul
Designed by Sir Christopher Wren in the late 17th century, St Paul’s Cathedral is a true masterpiece. It’s worth visiting just for the chance to gaze up into the Cathedral’s awe-inspiring dome. The Cathedral’s Crypt honors some of Britain’s great national heroes such as Lord Nelson, the Duke of Wellington and Winston Churchill. You can also visit the American Memorial Chapel, which commemorates members of the US forces who gave their lives in Britain during the Second World War. One of the most exciting parts of a visit to St Paul’s is the chance to take the winding spiral staircase up to the Whispering Gallery, where you can sample the gallery’s unique audio effects before enjoying a breathtaking panoramic view of London.

Opening times: All year excluding Good Friday (6 April) and Christmas Day (25 December), Monday – Saturday.
