VisitBritainDirect Order Modifications or Cancellations

You may change your order at no extra charge before it is dispatched. An administration fee of 20% of the gross value of the products will be charged for changes requested after the products have been dispatched. No refunds for cancelled orders will be given on postage and handling fees. All products must be returned in their original condition before a refund can be given.

VisitBritain is not responsible for products which are lost, stolen, mutilated or destroyed after receipt. Refunds cannot be authorised in such cases. Travel insurance is recommended before traveling to Britain. Trip cancellation insurance is also strongly recommended.


Please note the following conditions apply depending on which product you are returning:

Books, Maps:

You have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days after the day on which you receive the goods.

Transport Tickets (ie BritRail Passes, Travel Cards, Oyster Cards, Touring Passes and Tickets)

Refunds are limited to completely unused and invalidated passes or tickets. No refunds will be granted on partially used passes or tickets. All unused passes and tickets must be returned within seven days of receipt and before their start date. No refunds will be given on reservation fees. An administration fee of 15% of the gross value of the pass or ticket will be charged for all returned passes and tickets.

Certain ticket categories may have special conditions which do not permit changes or cancellation.

We will email you instructions on how to return the product or proceed with your cancellation. If requested, this information can also be provided to you by phone or by post.
